From what we've seen so far of "Logan," the third and final solo Wolverine film, it looks like the movie won't play by the normal rules of big superhero blockbusters. The film looks smaller in scale and much more focused on characters than big explosions. The film's tone seems to harken back to '70s action films, and that makes "Logan's" IMAX poster a perfect fit.

Director James Mangold shared the new poster on Twitter, which features an illustration of the film's main cast in a classic, Drew Struzan-style layout. Hugh Jackman's clawed hero stands tall up front, with Professor X (Patrick Stewart) and X-23 (Dafne Keen) by his side. The poster also includes Donald Pierce (Boyd Holbrook) and his Reavers, menacingly placed at the bottom.

Set beyond the events of “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” 2017’s “Logan” is set in the near future following a cataclysmic event that ravaged the mutant race. It will also be Hugh Jackman’s final outing as Wolverine, and will introduce Dafne Keen as the character’s teenage clone X-23.

Directed by James Mangold, written by Michael Green, Scott Frank, James Mangold and David James Kelly, and starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Dafne Keen and Stephen Merchant, “Logan” arrives in theaters on March 3, 2017.
