With some of the mystery surrounding her character finally peeled away, Dafne Keen's Laura -- aka X-23 -- takes center stage in the final trailer for "Logan."

While this new trailer doesn't carry the same emotional weight as the first, it's sure to please fans, as it reveals X-Men comic books exist within the world of the Fox franchise -- "Maybe a quarter of it happened," Logan says while browsing Laura's stash, "and not like this" -- and that Professor X wasn't kidding when he told Wolverine the girl is "very much like you." The would-be X-23 has serious control issues, which we can probably (maybe?) chalk up to her age.

Sure, that makes things a little more difficult for Hugh Jackman's aging mutant, but it also creates delightful problems for Boyd Holbrook's Donald Pierce, whose command of "No. No. No" is promptly -- and, we would expect, violently -- ignored.

Jackman’s ninth, and purportedly final, appearance as Wolverine, “Logan” is set in the near future, years after the epilogue of 2014’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” In it, a weary Logan, whose healing factor is failing, cares for an ailing Professor Xavier in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, pursued by dark forces.

Opening March 3, “Logan” stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Dafne Keen, Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal and Elizabeth Rodriguez.
