A weary Hugh Jackman chauffeurs partiers through the streets of Las Vegas in a strange, grainy black-and-white clip from "Logan."

The scene juxtaposes footage of Logan driving a limousine with a voice message left by James Howlett in reply to a listing in the Penny Saver for a Sunseeker yacht.

"It says it needs repairs," he sighs. "Well, I was wondering if you're willing to part with it for an even 60K. Um, I know it's not the full amount. [...] It's kind of a retirement gift for my dad ..." To sweeten the deal, he's offering cash. However, he doesn't want to fill out any paperwork. "Not a big fan of paperwork," he says.

We might presume this scene is a flashback, and his "dad" is Professor Xavier, although it's impossible to be certain of either. The bigger question is why Logan, and his "dad," might want a yacht.

Directed by James Mangold, “Logan” is set in the near future, years after the epilogue of 2014’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” In it, a weary Logan, whose healing factor is failing, cares for an ailing Professor X in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, pursued by dark forces.

Opening March 3, the film stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Dafne Keen, Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal and Elizabeth Rodriguez.
