While Logan certainly works well as a standalone final chapter for Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, the introduction of Dafne Keen's Laura Kinney, aka X-23, left many wondering whether future films could include the ferocious mutant clone. If director James Mangold has anything to say about it, audiences haven't seen the last of the character.

“Anything’s possible,” Mangold said Tuesday following the premiere of Logan Noir, the film's black-and-white version. “I’ve certainly talked to them about it. I even talked to them about it before we made the movie. I thought she was just such a great character, but with what Dafne did, I think that certainly that’s possible.”

No plans have been announced regarding a continuing role for Keen in Fox's X-Men franchise, but with Jackman sheathing his claws the studio is undoubtedly thinking about who might fill that vacuum.

Arriving May 23 on Blu-ray and DVD, Logan stars Hugh Jackman as Logan, Patrick Stewart as Charles, Dafne Keen as Laura, Boyd Holbrook as Pierce and Stephen Merchant as Caliban.
