After months of anticipation, "Logan" is currently raking in both box office and critical acclaim. The triumphant conclusion to Hugh Jackman's almost two decade run as Wolverine is as epic, brutal, and emotional as most expected, all while set against an environment that bears a few similarities to Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's influential "Old Man Logan" comic book.

While much of the beautiful artwork appears pretty close to the end results seen in theaters, notable exceptions include an unused flashback scene depicting a villain's mountaintop retreat, as well as a couple shots of Logan with a canine sidekick. There's no word on why the pooch ended up on the cutting room floor, but it was probably for the best. Given how emotionally exhausting the film already is, it may have been a bit too much to ask audiences to handle a dog dying tragically at the hands of a Reaver.
