AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.Total Film has posted a video interview with Joss Whedon. While he mostly discusses "Much Ado About Nothing," he does speak briefly about "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." right at the end.

"I think it's a question of controlling expectations. We don't want people to come in thinking, 'Oh, Robert Downey's going to be walking by,' or 'It's going to be this enormous spectacle.' The whole point of S.H.I.E.L.D. is that it's about the other guys, the ones who are dealing with the fallout of the superhero world," Whedon told Total Film. "It's not saving the world every week, it's more like we're saving that guy. We're trying to deal with the fact that they live in a superhero world and most of them aren't super. It's got some of the spectacle, but mostly it's a fun, funny human drama about this crew of people who are in this absurd situation."

IGN spoke with Chloe Bennet, who plays Skye in the upcoming series, and what her reaction is when she's caught by S.H.I.E.L.D.

"I can't say much about it. But I can say that she is this superhero-obsessed girl, in a way where she's just in awe of it, but she's also skilled in the sense that she can kind of get herself into these situations," Bennet told IGN. "You know, I think she's going to enjoy the ride, just like myself. I think she'll have fun."

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2In a somewhat surprising turn of events, it seems Mary Jane Watson won't appear in Marc Webb's "Amazing Spider-Man 2." Actress Shailene Woodley has already filmed scenes for the sequel, but reportedly, none of them will make it into the final cut of the film. In fact, it's possible that Woodley won't return for the role at all in "Amazing Spider-Man 3," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"I made a creative decision to streamline the story and focus on Peter and Gwen and their relationship," Webb told THR. "Shailene is an incredibly talented actress and while we only shot a few scenes with Mary Jane, we all love working with her."

JAMES GANDOLFINI PASSES AWAYJames Gandolfini passed away yesterday in Italy due to a heart attack at the age of 51. It's always a sad day when one of the industry's celebrated actors leaves us, and Gandolfini's performance as Tony Soprano is easily one of the best leading roles in a television series from the past decade. He will be missed.
