Despite reports stemming from tweets sent between Hugh Jackman and Liev Schrieber, the man who brought Sabretooth to life in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" said he hasn't been "invited" to reprise the role during an appearance on "The Tonight Show."
Schrieber went on to tell Jimmy Fallon that "I heard that the storyline is 'Old Man Logan.' And when I heard that, I thought, 'Well, you know there's Old Man Logan, there could be Old Man Sabretooth... the two of us with walkers."
Rumors that Jackman's last "Wolverine" film will be based on the "Old Man Logan" storyline by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven have circulated since earlier this summer. It is unclear how much inside knowledge Schrieber has about the project as he has not yet been invited back to the franchise, though it's interesting he drew the connection.
Starring Hugh Jackman, "Wolverine 3" is scheduled to premiere on March 3, 2017.
