According to Deadline, Hines will play Superian, a "superhero with issues." He joins the already growing cast, which includes Peter Serafinowicz as The Tick, Griffin Newman as The Tick's sidekick Arthur, and Valorie Curry as Arthur's sister Dot.

Hines has previously starred in "Lie to Me" and "Suits," and was most recently seen on CBS' series "Scorpion." While no release date has been set for "The Tick," it's likely the pilot episode will be available to watch on Amazon, as they allow audiences to vote on which pilots should get picked up, via their streaming service, Amazon Prime.

"The Tick" is executive produced by "Gotham's" Ben Edlund.
