Small towns aren't always as quiet and idyllic as they seem. That's certainly the case with Cut Bank, Montana, as you can see in the first trailer for the film, directed by Matt Shakman ("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia') from a script penned by Roberto Patino ("Sons of Anarchy").

"Cut Bank" stars Liam Hemsworth as a man who wants to escape his small-town life, and stumbles upon what appears to be a reward-worthy murder video. The film also stars Teresa Palmer, John Malkovich, Billy Bob Thorton, Bruce Dern, Michael Stuhlbarg and Oliver Platt as citizens of the town that might not survive all the intrigue and paranoia surrounding its first murder investigations.

Here's the first trailer from "Cut Bank," along with a pair of posters. The film opens April 3.
