Appearing over the weekend at Hasbro's HASCON event, Lee was asked who he'd want to play him in a movie, and his answer understandably excited the audience.

“Believe it or not, I’ve already discussed it with Leonardo DiCaprio,” said the 94-year-old Lee. “He’s a neighbor of mine and we were talking one day some months ago, and he said, ‘Boy it’d be fun to do your story on the screen.' So I said, ‘Well, I’ll audition you.’ Gotta make sure the guy can do it.”

The former editor-in-chief and publisher of Marvel Comics described the Oscar winner as a “hell of a nice guy" who "has all the walls covered with big Marvel posters and everything. He’s got very good taste." If the actor is as big a Marvel fan as Lee claims, then he'd definitely struggle choosing to play The Joker over Lee.

A recent report suggests that by bringing Martin Scorsese on board to produce a Joker origin movie, Warner Bros. aims to entice his frequent collaborator DiCaprio into joining its growing slate of DC Comics-based films.
