Ahead of next month's Toy Fair in New York City, The Wall Street Journal has the first look at LEGO's massive 2,996-piece S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier playset.

The Helicarrier is 11 inches high, 17 inches wide and a whopping 31 inches long, and boasts two runways, microscale fighter jets, Quinjets and ground-support vehicles, plus five minifigures from Marvel's 2012 blockbuster The Avengers, including -- brace yourselves! -- two female characters: Nick Fury, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye and new addition Maria Hill. Imagine that.

There are also a dozen mirofigures -- Nick Fury, Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye and eight S.H.I.E.L.D. agents -- that can populate the control center and runways.

LEGO enthusiasts probably won't blink at the price, but casual fans may want to brace themselves (again): The Helicarrier is going to set you back $349.99. It arrives in March.

Toy Fair 2015 will be held Feb. 14-17 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.
