The Brick Knight may be the world's greatest detective, but he's unable to deduce when his adopted son wants a hug in the latest promo for "The LEGO Batman Movie."

The 30-second teaser hones in on the awkward relationship between the Dynamic Duo, as Alfred offers unwanted advice to Batman, who dismisses Barbara Gordon's suggestion that Robin is his son as "just weird." "It's weirder if it's not your son," she responds.

Directed by Chris McKay from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith, the 3D animated spinoff of "The LEGO Movie" features a Batman who must overcome his fear of being part of a family, take responsibility for his adopted son, and learn the importance of teamwork if he hopes to stop The Joker’s takeover of Gotham City.
