The Legion of Super-Heroes is coming, and it's sooner than you might have expected.

In September, Brian Michael Bendis and a team of all-star artists, including Jim Lee, Nicola Scott and Dustin Ngyuen, re-introduce the 31st century super-team in Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium, a two-issue series designed to explore DC's Rebirth timeline. This will lead into an ongoing Legion of Super-Heroes series to be helmed by Bendis and Ryan Sook.

As part of the big announcement, DC released not only the cover art and pages from the Millennium two-parter, the publisher's also shared half a dozen character designs for the new-look Legionnaires, updated by Sook for the new series.

Founding members Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl and Cosmic Boy are all here, with Lightning Lad changing the least, aside from a different haircut. Saturn Girl and Cosmic Boy's costumes are fairly different from those seen in the past, though they're both immediately recognizable.

Chameleon Boy is probably the most dramatically altered, though again, not so much as to confuse longtime fans. Shadow Lass is virtually identical to her previous incarnations, and while Brainiac 5 has been updated to look a little less action-oriented, he looks essentially like the same hero we've known for decades.
