“Legion Of Super-Heroes” #1 Sells Out at DC

Official Press Release

The acclaimed debut issue of LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES (OCT040295) has sold out at DC Comics. The issue, written by Mark Waid with art and cover by Barry Kitson, reintroduces the greatest heroes of the 30th century in spectacular fashion.

“Really, seriously, when DC first told us how insanely heavily they overprinted the first issue, the flattery of their confidence was tempered with a selfish little bit of ‘Okay, but, gee, we won’t get the added buzz of a sold-out announcement,'” says Waid. “Rarely am I this happy to be this wrong.”

“The response to LEGION from retailers and readers has been extremely positive,” says Bob Wayne, DC’s VP – Sales & Marketing. “The series is building momentum with every issue, and we urge retailers to increase their orders on upcoming issues to meet demand.”

Other issues are available as follows:

* LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #2 (NOV040280) is available for reorder.

* LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #3 (DEC040270) is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on February 23.

* LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #4 (JAN050312) is solicited in the January issue of Previews (Volume XV #1) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 30.

* LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #5 (FEB050297) is solicited in the February issue of Previews (Volume XV #2) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on April 27.

DC does not plan to go back to press on this issue at this time. Please note that copies may still be available at retail.
