DC Comics posted two teaser images for "Legends of Tomorrow" on their Instagram over the weekend, inviting their followers to screencap the images and add a filter, to reveal the name and the face of even more hidden characters who could be appearing on the show.

The first image featured a large metal helmet and the faded silhouette of a woman in the background:

The armor may be DIY, but this guy is no pushover--come to think of it, he's not a guy at all. So who's under that pot...? When you apply a filter, this is the name and the image that appears:

This is Ma Hunkel. She was a Golden Age superhero named Red Tornado. Her signature look was longjohns and a metal pot, as seen in the image above. She was a working mother who donned the Red Tornado moniker to fight crime in her city. In the New 52 she is younger, but still wears the helmet to protect her identity. A live-action version of her character was seen in "Smallville" season 11, as Abigail Hunkel, one of the last surviving members of the original Justice Society of America.

The second teaser image DC Comics posted was this:

With this hourglass, its pharmaceutically empowered owner can peer into the near future. Screenshot this image and use filters to reveal the answer, and share your findings with #LoTEasterEggs! @cw_legendsoftomorrow: Thursday at 8/7c on The CW. A photo posted by DC Comics (@dccomics) on

This is the character who is revealed when you add a filter:

Hourman is Rex Tyler, the creator of super vitamin Miraclo. Miraclo would give Tyler super strength and speed for exactly one hour. Rex's son, Rick, eventually took on the Hourman mantle. The hourglass in the image above represents the necklace both men wore. The hourglass held tachyons, which gave Rick the ability to see into the future.

Both Ma Hunkel's metal helmet and Rex Tyler's hourglass can be seen on Rip Hunter's Waverider ship in "Legends of Tomorrow." Will these characters ever appear on the show? That remains to be seen. For now, these items are considered Easter eggs, that connect the series to the larger world of DC Comics. Let us know if you spot any more Easter Eggs on his ship in future episodes.

"Legends of Tomorrow" stars Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Ciara Renee, Brandon Routh, Franz Drameh, Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, and airs Thursdays on The CW at 8 p.m.
