A revolution is headed to "DC's Legends of Tomorrow." In "Turncoat," the episode airing February 7, the team will head back to the year 1776 and find themselves embroiled in the Revolutionary War -- and the aberration that brings them to that time will lead them directly to George Washington, the first president of the United States of America.

A GOOD FIGHT — When The Legends find a new Time Aberration they learn they must travel to the winter of 1776 to protect George Washington and the American Revolutionary War. Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned, forcing Sara (Caity Lotz) to send out Nate (Nick Zano) and Amaya (Maisie-Richardson-Sellers) to help. Meanwhile, Jax (Franz Drameh) and Stein (Victor Garber) who are busy protecting the incapacitated Waverider from their new enemy, are forced to step into roles that they don’t think they are prepared for. Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell and Arthur Darvill also star, Alice Troughton directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & Matthew Maala (#211). Original airdate 2/7/2017.

Notably, the episode makes no mention of Arthur Darvill's Rip Hunter, who will return to the show in the mid-season finale. There, Rip has no memory of his life as a Time Master, and thus the team will have to race to make him remember that he is not, in fact, a graduate film student named Phil. Darvill will star in "Turncoat," though it's unclear in what capacity.

Nevertheless, the trailer for the mid-season finale might offer a little clue as it flashes through Rip's many identities over the course of the show. In that montage, one shot shows Rip wearing a Redcoat uniform and wig; he appears to be standing with a battalion of British soldiers against a wooded backdrop with some tents. While this is far from a confirmation that this shot is from "Turncoat," it certainly looks likely.

The synopsis does include an important piece of information: the Waverider has been grounded. According to the synopsis, the Waverider is "incapacitated," which likely means the Legends are stuck in whichever time they've landed in.

Airing Tuesdays at 9 pm ET/PT on The CW, “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” stars Brandon Routh as the Atom, Victor Garber and Franz Drameh as Firestorm, Caity Lotz as White Canary, Maisie Richardson-Seller as Vixen, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave and Nick Zano as Citizen Steel.
