Long live the Queen! When "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" travel back in time to medieval England, they'll encounter the one and only Queen Guinevere. According to Entertainment Weekly, "The Originals" alum Elyse Levesque will play King Arthur's consort in the upcoming episode "Camelot/3000."

The news hit Twitter thanks to "Legends" star Caity Lotz (White Canary), who snapped a picture with Maisie Richardson-Seller (Vixen) and Levesque. She posted the Tweet with the hashtag "#warriorwomen."

The episode title is obviously a nod to “Camelot 3000,” a 12-issue miniseries by Mike W. Barr and Brian Bolland. The series, which was released from 1982 to 1985, propelled King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table into the year 3000. There, the reincarnated cast of characters found themselves in an overpopulated future, but they faced the same enemy: Morgan Le Fay. This time around, however, she led an alien invasion. Merlin, Guinevere and Mordred are also involved. The series also occasionally flashed back to the original Arthurian legend.

However, it’s important to note that the “Legends” title is formatted differently than that of the original DC Comics miniseries. The show’s version includes a slash between “Camelot” and “3000,” which could indicate that the two time periods are not conjoined like they were in the miniseries. As they possess a timeship, the Legends could easily flip back and forth between medieval England and the future. That certainly seems to be the case in this photo, as all three actresses are in period dress.

It's also worth noting that Guinevere appears to be wearing armor in this photo. There have been many iterations of Guinevere since she first appeared in Arthurian legend, but she is usually framed as the demure -- if unfaithful -- wife of King Arthur. This photo and the accompanying caption imply otherwise; if this photo is any indication, Guinevere may get her own piece of the action. It's also unclear if Guinevere will be queen when the Legends arrive, as the team could show up at a point where she is not yet married to Arthur.

Returning Tuesday, January 24 at 9 p.m ET/PT on The CW, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" stars Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Brandon Routh as the Atom, Victor Garber and Franz Drameh as Firestorm, Caity Lotz as White Canary, Maisie Richardson-Seller as Vixen, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave and Nick Zano as Citizen Steel.
