"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" is only two episodes away from its highly anticipated Season 2 finale, and the Legends are about to enter their own upside-down, when they're transported to Doomworld, a dangerous alternate reality timeline which finds the team powerless and/or decidedly non-heroic, even by their standards. Although dystopic in nature, according to the show's executive producer it may not be as "alternate" as they originally had planned.

"Legends" executive producer Marc Guggenheim mused about the eerie mirrors to our current world in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly “It’s funny, back when we planned out the season and the idea of a dystopian world ruled by a narcissist who is completely without morality, it felt a lot more far-fetched than it became," the EP said. "Truth be told, it really turned out to be more reflective of current times than we expected. But it’s pretty different.”

The episode, titled "Doomworld," airs March 28 on The CW.

Airing Tuesdays at 9 pm ET/PT on The CW, “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” stars Brandon Routh as the Atom, Victor Garber and Franz Drameh as Firestorm, Caity Lotz as White Canary, Maisie Richardson-Seller as Vixen, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave and Nick Zano as Citizen Steel.
