This Halloween, The CW's ragtag band of time-traveling outcasts will encounter a familiar extraterrestrial race when The Dominators, who were at the forefront of last year's four-part "Invasion!" Arrowverse crossover, return on DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

According to the synopsis for episode four, aptly titled "Phone Home," the Legends are still dealing with the ramifications of damaging the timeline last season. Now, with Ray's fate hanging in the balance, the team is forced to travel back in time where they discover that a young Dr. Palmer has an even younger Dominator in his possession, which naturally piques the interest of not only the U.S. Government, but the baby alien's protective mother.

Here is the official synopsis for the episode, which airs on Oct. 31:

The Legends learn that Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) will die because they broke time, causing them to race back to 1988 to try and save his life. When they arrive, they are surprised to learn that young Ray Palmer has befriended a time-displaced baby Dominator putting him in harm’s way with the government and the Dominator’s mother. New to the ship and missions, Zari (Tala Ashe) must find her place and learn to trust the team. Meanwhile, Stein (Victor Garber) begins working on a secret project on the ship which makes Rory (Dominic Purcell) and Jax (Franz Drameh) suspicious. Caity Lotz, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Nick Zano also star.

In the DC Comics source material, the Dominators were originally part of Legion of Super-Heroes lore, having first appeared in 1967’s Adventure Comics #361 by Jim Shooter and Jim Mooney. However, the characters are best known for the 1988-1989 “Invasion!” event, which served as the named inspiration for last year's aforementioned crossover. That story, with a main series by Keith Giffen, Bill Mantlo, Todd McFarlane and Bart Sears, saw the Dominators lead an alliance of multiple alien races invading Earth.

Airing Tuesdays at 9 pm ET/PT on The CW, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Victor Garber as Martin Stein, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary, Franz Drameh as Jefferson “Jax” Jackson/Firestorm, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/Atom, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen, and Nick Zano as Nate Heywood/Steel.
