Batman, as illustrated by "DK3" penciller Andy Kubert, will grace the cover of the annual convention's program. The art, revealed by Entertainment Weekly, is described as " sneak peek at the first issue."

The sequel to the seminal "Dark Knight Returns" and its follow-up "The Dark Knight Strikes Again," "Dark Knight III: The Master Race" is written by Frank Miller, the architect of the "Dark Knight" universe, and Brian Azzarello, with art primarily from Kubert and Klaus Janson, the latter whom inked Miller's art in the original story. "The Dark Knight III: The Master Race" #1 is scheduled for release on Nov. 25.

New York Comic Con runs from October 8-11 at the Jacob Javits Center on NYC.
