ICv2 has reported that a superhero introduced in a Korean webtoon will be making her way to the Marvel Universe. The Korea Herald has a translated transcript from an interview with Marvel's C.B. Cebulski where it is revealed that the original superhero White Fox will make the transition from a webtoon created exclusively for the Korean web portal Daum into the main Marvel Comics continuity.

Based on the Korean myth about a nine-tailed fox, White Fox has been appearing in a series called "Avengers Electric Rain" by Korean cartoonist Young hoon Ko. The character was originally created by Ko as part of Marvel's attempt to experiment with Korea's popular webcomic format that presents serialized stories in a vertically scrolling format. Six installments have been released so far, with White Fox's origin scheduled to be revealed in the ninth.

"The character has proven to be so popular that we've decided to take it from Korea," said Cebulski in the translated article. "She'll be joining the Avengers characters in the U.S. comic series... My hope is to bring ['Avengers Electric Rain'] from the Korean language into English and use it as the launch of a webtoon model in the U.S."
