The Screen Junkies crew have found one of the harshest critics of Kong: Skull Island for their latest Honest Trailer: the movie's own director, Jordan Vogt-Roberts. In the trailer, Vogt-Roberts completely tears his own movie apart.

Over the course of the six-minute video, Vogt-Roberts makes fun of the monster movie trope of inserting a lot of human characters played by recognizable stars. He admits that Toby Klebbell's story as a human soldier was isolated and maybe pointless. He even mocks Screen Junkies for recycling their old jokes.

However, when it comes to the number of helicopters in the movie, Vogt-Reoberts is certain the film is above reproach. He counted those helicopters carefully and really doesn't like it when movie watchers try to tell him that he's wrong. His rant, which uses some words that are not fit to print, makes it clear he's passionate about this particular point. "Can you guys just do that funny name thing that you do?" he concludes.

While in theaters, Kong: Skull Island impressed at the box office. The oversized ape will return in Godzilla vs. Kong, which finds Kong battling the other King of Monsters and is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 22, 2019.
