Reader Cardell G. wanted to know how to pronounce the name of Thor’s Hammer, Mjolnir. So I figured I’d answer that question and tackle a bunch of other tricky comic book pronunciations!
Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, is pronounced myawl-nir (“nir” sounds like “near”).

RA’S AL GHUL
Here’s a tricky one. Neal Adams says “Rahs Al Gool,” while Denny O’Neil and Julie Schwartz says “Raysh Al Gool.” The Arrow TV series intentionally used both interchangeably.
