Captain Canuck is making a comeback at Chapterhouse Comics, and this time he's bringing a little bit of Hollywood with him. As was announced in the full list of Free Comic Book Day 2017 titles, “This Is the End” and “How to Train Your Dragon” star Jay Baruchel will lend his talents to “Captain Canuck - FCBD 2017 Edition.”

Baruchel will co-write the issue, sharing story duties with regular series writer Kalman Andrasofszky. Artist Marcus To -- whose past credits include "The Flash," "Huntress" and "Hacktivist" -- will provide interior artwork for the issue, while "Wonder Woman" artist David Finch crafts the cover. “Captain Canuck - FCBD 2017 Edition" is the first installment of a three-issue miniseries and features a back-up story titled "Die Kitty Die: Summer Beach Party" by Archie Comics'  Dan Parent and Fernando Ruiz.

"Captain Canuck is a true Canadian icon and it is a humble honor to be involved in helping to shape the next generation of Canuck sagas for a new generation of readers and fans, as well as the die-hards that have followed Cap on his journey from the beginning," Baruchel said in a statement. "Chapterhouse is doing very awesome stuff as they breathe new life into the world of Canadian comics. I am proud to be joining their ranks in this incredible adventure as we work hard to bring exciting stories and classic heroes to life for readers across Canada."

"The Captain's ranks keep growing," added Fadi Hakim, President of Chapterhouse and Captain Canuck Incorporated. "We're simply overjoyed to have a consummate talent and Canadian like Jay on board as we march forward!"

"Jay is one of the most prolific, well-spoken people I've met in this industry -- I know the Captain is in good hands!" shared Richard Comely, who created Captain Canuck.

“Captain Canuck - FCBD 2017 Edition" arrives on FBCD 2017, which will be Saturday, May 6.
