Fox is set to make history as the first broadcaster to air a new drama on Facebook Live, now that the network has partnered with the social media juggernaut to stream the first episode of "Outcast" in Europe and Africa, two weeks ahead of the series' debut in the regions.

According to Variety, the episode will stream simultaneously in 61 countries -- U.K., Italy, Spain, Poland, South Africa, Germany, Sweden and Turkey, among others -- and continue to be showcased on Facebook on a weekly basis, within three hours after each episode's airing. Fox has the broadcast rights to the series in markets across Europe and Africa.

On the partnership, Fox exec Diego Londono said, "Thanks to 'The Walking Dead,' Robert Kirkman has created an army of fans throughout the region...By partnering with Facebook, we are giving the fans the chance to watch the new show at the same time across Europe and Africa."

OUTCAST follows Kyle Barnes, a young man who has been plagued by possession since he was a child. Now an adult, he embarks on a journey to find answers but what he uncovers could mean the end of life on Earth as we know it.
