"Kick-Ass" and "Superbad" actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse has landed a role in the CBS comedy pilot "The Great Indoors."

Created by Mike Gibbons ("Tosh.0"), the show stars Joel McHale as Joel, a guy’s-guy adventure reporter who, after a life of excitement, is forced by an injury to take a desk job in the magazine’s social media department. There, he’s surrounded by millennials who view him as an ancient oddity.

According to Variety, Mintz-Plasse will play Clark, a tech/nerd survivalist who knows everything about surviving at sea, in the woods and on Mars, but hasn’t left downtown in five years.

The pilot also features Chris Williams as Joel's best friend Eddie, who invites him to live in the house he inherited from his mother; Shaun Brown as Dwayne, one of Joel's colleagues in the magazine's digital department; and Christine Ko as Emma, the magazine's social-media expert.
