It looks like National City has a a new resident -- for one week, at least. As Kevin Smith continues his 'heart-warming' experience directing an episode of "Supergirl," it appears he needed one more cast member; daughter Harley Quinn Smith. The actress posted a new photo on her Instagram, indicating she'll be part of the episode.

The episode, titled "Supergirl Lives," a reference to Smith's past, sees Smith in the directors chair for the first time in the Supergirl universe. He has directed two episodes of "The Flash," one from season two and the upcoming episode seven of season three, titled "Killer Frost." Sounds like he'll hands his hands full, and frozen, with that episode, which comes right before a series of cross-over episodes. This years series-crossing spectacle finds all of the DCTV heroes facing off against an alien invasion. While not confirmed, it appears Smith's "Supergirl" episode will be the first following the cross-over.

Smith most recently directed daughter, Harley Quinn, in "Yoga Hosers," his most recent feature film. The experience of directing his child has changed Smith for the better. Smith finds the entire film experience fun again. Combined with directing episodes of his favorite comic book characters, it sounds like Kevin Smith is living his dream right now.

Starring Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, “Supergirl” airs Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers and Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott and features appearances by Calista Flockhart’s Cat Grant as well as Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman.
