With every new "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" teaser and TV spot, we see more and more of Ben Affleck's portrayal of Batman and Bruce Wayne. Even with the film still two months away from hitting theaters, it's already garnered support form one Batman super fan: Kevin Smith.

While speaking with Variety at Sundance, Smith said that Affleck's take on Batman looks like Frank Miller's version from "The Dark Knight Returns," so "sight away, he's the best looking Batman we've ever seen."

"The hardest thing to nail about Batman is Bruce Wayne, because that's where you've got no mask and where you've got to be a human being," said Smith. "But that dude is Bruce Wayne, so he's born to play that role."

Smith said that his friendship with Affleck has nothing to do with his praise as he "hasn't spoken to him in years." He recounted a story about the time Affleck was cast as Daredevil in 2003, saying that the actor told him to never let him play a character in a costume again. Smith says that he almost picked up the phone to remind Affleck of this when he saw the casting announcement, but decided against it -- and Smith is glad he did.

"Now it looks like he is the best Batman we've seen so far," Smith says.

Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams and more, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" opens on March 25, 2016.
