Last month, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy announced that they were splitting up -- something that created major waves in entertainment circles, despite the fact that a previously released trailer already established that they weren't together on the upcoming ABC series "The Muppets," and that they were broken up in plenty of other things, too, like 2011's "The Muppets" film (not to mention the fact that they are, sadly, fictional).

Today, People had a look at Kermit's new girlfriend, proving again that he definitely has a type. His new love interest on "The Muppets" is Denise, also a pig, and apparently "a head of marketing at ABC" on the series. Notably, the Denise revealed Tuesday on People appears to be a different (or at least modified) puppet than Kermit's then-unnamed love interest in that earlier trailer.

"The Muppets" is scheduled to debut Sept. 22 on ABC.
