Although Katy Sackhoff is already a geek icon with her roles in Battlestar Galactica and the upcoming Riddick, the actress hasn't yet appeared in a comic book film adaptation -- but it's something that she'd very much like to do. In a recent interview with Esquire, Sackhoff revealed the one role she'd love to play given the chance is Harley Quinn.

"I love Harley Quinn," Sackhoff told the magazine. "I do. I just love it. It's not been done before. It's this fantastic mix. I mean, it's like the female Joker. Who wouldn't want to do that? Quite potentially — it's not around so I wouldn't feel the weight of it — I'd probably sell my first born at this point to do that."

Although the Harley Quinn character has not yet appeared in a live-action Batman film, the character rose to prominence after her creation for Batman: The Animated Series, eventually getting integrated into the Batman comic book mythology. The character got a redesign for DC Comics' New 52 initiative, and recently received an ongoing series written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner.
