It's been more than a year since actor Henry Cavill dropped the first hint he might don a version of the Man of Steel's black suit from DC Comics' "Death of Superman" storyline in Justice League. Since then we've seen a blurry, and likely Photoshopped, image, but little more to indicate the Last Son of Krypton will return from the grave in that familiar somber costume. That is, until now.

A Reddit user uploaded a photo of what appears to be a promotional leaflet for Mattel's line of Justice League action figures that depicts the film's heroes, as well the villain Steppenwolf and one of his Parademons from Apokolips. The second series of figures includes alternate suits for Batman, Aquaman and, yes, Superman, who's shown in what looks to be his black costume (the traditional suit is part of Series 1).

Superman's black costume debuted in DC Comics’ sweeping 1992-93 storyline “The Death and Return of Superman,” elements of which played out in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, where the Man of Steel seemingly met his end in a battle with Doomsday.
