DC and Warner Bros. Animation plan to release "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox" animated film on DVD/Blu-ray July 30.

While many caught DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation's latest collaboration "Superman Unbound" at WonderCon 2013, fans are already set for the next big DC animated direct-to-DVD feature based on Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert's 2011 crossover event "Flashpoint." Newsarama has revealed the full title of the feature as "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox" and a release date of July 30, 2013, posting the official synopsis of the upcoming animated feature.

When time travel allows a past wrong to be righted for The Flash and his family, the ripples of the event prove disastrous as a fractured, alternate reality now exists where a Justice League never formed, and even Superman is nowhere to be found. Teaming with a grittier, more violent Dark Knight and Cyborg, Flash races to restore the continuity of his original timeline while this new world is ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman's Amazons and Aquaman's Atlanteans. With breath taking action and an all-star voice cast, it's a bold, emotional vision that will forever change the landscape of the DC Universe.

Johns and Kubert's "Flashpoint" was DC's major summer event for 2011, and paved the way for the publisher's current continuity and largest publishing initiative ever, the New 52, which relaunched 52 titles as new #1 issues. While legendary Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy revealed his involvement in the project last year (and will be voicing Batman for the non-alternate universe version of the Dark Knight), Newsarama further noted cast additions of Dana Delany as Lois Lane, Ron Perlman as Deathstroke and Vanessa Marshall as Wonder Woman.

The announcement of the upcoming animated feature comes less than a week following Bruce Timm's departure as supervising producer for the DC Universe Animated direct-to-DVD films.

"Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox" hits DVD/Blu-ray on July 30.
