Warner Bros. will have a treat awaiting attendees at Comic-Con International in San Diego, where the upgraded Batmobile from Justice League will be on display.
The studio’s consumer products division is teamed with toymaker Mattel to present the vehicle in all its 8,500 pounds of crime-fighting glory today during Preview Night. Boasting retractable machine guns and missile launchers, the Batmobile will be up on display at booth #3029.
For con-goers who want to bring home their own method for battling superstitious and cowardly lots, Mattel will also unveil its remote-control Ultimate Justice League Batmobile, operable via tablets and smartphones.
“I am a huge fan of Batman and wanted to design an RC vehicle that showcased what most people would imagine it doing,” Michael Kadile, Toybox lead designer at Mattel, told The Hollywood Reporter. “Bringing the Batmobile to life has been really rewarding as a longtime fan.” He teased that “the smoke that comes out when you rev the engine” is his favorite feature of the vehicle, adding, “It’s an unexpected surprise!” The RC vehicle will become available for preorder on Thursday.
Arriving Nov. 17, Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta and J.
