"Jurassic World" had already unseated Marvel's "The Avengers" as the largest North American opening of all time, but the Universal Pictures blockbuster wasn't quite finished with Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Deadline reports that, as of Sunday's U.S. box office estimates, "Jurassic World" is now the fastest film to cross the $400-million mark, having grossed in the neighborhood of $403 million in 10 days of release. It took "The Avengers" 14 days to reach that same milestone in 2012.

But wait, there's more! By the time all the receipts are counted, "Jurassic World" is expected to have raked in another $106.7 million to $108.1 million over the weekend, giving it the best second weekend ever, again toppling "The Avengers" ($103.05 million).

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, and starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, "Jurassic World" has grossed more than $981 million worldwide.
