Fox's next "Planet of the Apes" film, "War for the Planet of the Apes," continues to take shape. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Judy Greer has joined the cast of the film, marking her second journey into the "Apes" franchise.

Greer will reprise the role of Cornelia, Caesar's chimpanzee wife. The ape leader Caesar will again be played by Andy Serkis in a motion capture performance. Greer previously played the part in 2014's "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes." The role was originated by Devin Dalton in 2011's "Rise of the Planet of the Apes."

THR also noted that Karin Konoval will return to play Maurice, the "orangutan with a gentle soul" that the actress portrayed in the previous two installments of the rebooted "Apes" franchise.

"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" director Matt Reeves returns for the next installment, which also counts Woody Harrelson among its human cast. "War For the Planet of the Apes" opens on July 14th, 2017.
