Jude Law is looking to reteam with Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie for his King Arthur film Knights of the Round Table.

According to Variety, the actor is in talks to play "the villain" in the epic retelling of the legend. We're guessing the role isn't that of Mordred, as he's typically depicted as the son of Arthur, who will be played by Charlie Hunnam in the planned Warner Bros. franchise. The website notes that is' unknown whether Law would portray the villain in just one film or throughout the series.

Variety also reveals that Ritchie is also seeking someone for the role of Arthur's mentor Bedivere, as a deal was unable to be reached with Idris Elba.

Also starring Astrid Berges-Frisbey playing Guinevere, Knights of the Round Table -- alternately referred to as King Arthur -- opens July 22, 2016.
