Johns Says “Titans” Pilot Shooting Next Year

Reports of a “Titans” TV series first surfaced in September, with Akiva Goldsman and Mark Haimes cited as executive producers. The show will reportedly draw influence from the classic “New Teen Titans” comics by Marv Wolfman and George Perez; centering on Nightwing, with early accounts also listing Starfire and Raven as part of the team.

On Monday, a “Krypton” series was officially announced to be in development at Syfy, set on Superman’s home planet (pre-explosion) and focused on Kal-El’s grandfather. David S. Goyer, a veteran of multiple live-action adaptations of DC Comics, is set to executive produce.
