Former The Office star John Krasinski is looking to go from leading man to Navy SEAL alongside director Michael Bay.

Variety reports that the actor is in talks for a role in the director's military thriller 13 Hours. The Paramount film, scripted by The Strain co-creator Chuck Hogan based on the book by Mitchell Zuckoff, purports to tell the true story of the attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Libya in 2012.

If he signs on, Krasinski will beat out actors vying for the part including Woody Harrelson and Walton Goggins. His next film will be a Cameron Crowe effort co-starring Emma Stone and Bradley Cooper.
