Actor Joe Manganiello, who is currently on-set filming the live-action adaptation of the video-game "Rampage," showed off an image on his Instagram today that references Marvel Comics' fan-favorite antihero, The Punisher.
Manganiello captioned the photo, which is of a bullet-proof vest, with "DAY 6 #RAMPAGE" and three emojis representing the original video game's iconic characters. The tag attached to the vest indicates for the first time the name of Manganiello's character: "Burke."

The Punisher logo on the vest mixes the Texan flag and the character's infamous skull logo. It also may not be the only reference to a comic book character in the photo; some users commented that the face on the right shoulder, underneath the word contractor, looks like a Deadshot pin. While there's no indication that Manganiello is going to play either of those characters soon, he is currently slated to debut as Deathstroke in the upcoming "Justice League" movie, though problems surrounding "The Batman" have rendered his future as the comic book character uncertain.
"Rampage" is expected to roughly follow the plot of the 1986 arcade game of the same name. In the original game, players took control of one of three massive monsters -- George the gorilla, Lizzie the lizard or Ralph the werewolf -- and used them to destroy skyscrapers and wreak havoc across North America. In the film, Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson will serve as humanity's only hope of beating the beasts.
