Production began last month on the second season of “Marvel’s Jessica Jones” following the addition of two-time Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Janet McTeer to the cast. While little has been revealed about the upcoming season of the celebrate Netflix drama, we know that most of the cast is returning, including Rachael Taylor’s Trish Walker, who’s pictured alongside star Krysten Ritter in new photos from the New York City set.
While still not confirmed, it’s expected that Wil Traval’s Nuke will be the primary antagonist following the demise of Kilgrave in Season One. It’s assumed the mysterious organization responsible for Jessica’s powers will play a prominent role in the new season as well. Rumored character breakdowns also hinted at the inclusion of Daredevil villain Typhoid Mary. The only certainty, however, is that the new episodes will be helmed entirely by female directors.
Ritter and Taylor can next be seen Aug. 18 in “The Defenders,” the eight-episode miniseries that’ll see Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist join forces for the first time.
Based on the Marvel Comics character created by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos, “Jessica Jones” stars Krysten Ritter as the troubled super-powered private investigator. The second season is expected to arrive in 2018.
