Earlier this week, Marvel revealed that Doctor Who alum David Tennant will reprise his role as Kilgrave in the second season of Jessica Jones. This, of course, raised the question of how Kilgrave would make his return, seeing as he was killed in the Season 1 finale. Now, a new group of set photos has surfaced that shows Tennant tormenting not only Jessica Jones, but also supporting character Malcolm.RELATED: Jessica Jones Adds Arrow's JR Ramirez

Though Kilgrave is obviously in Jessica and Malcolm's personal space, both characters seem to behave as if he's really not present, like he is a figment of their imaginations. Kilgrave took possession of both Jessica and Malcolm in the first season, so it's quite possible he left a part of his consciousness behind to haunt his victims after his passing.

The Netflix series, which will be entirely helmed by female directors this season, is expected to continue production through September.

Based on the Marvel Comics character created by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos, Jessica Jones stars Krysten Ritter as the troubled, superpowered private investigator. Ritter can next be seen as Jessica Jones on The Defenders, which arrives this week on Netflix.
