The second season of Jessica Jones has added Twilight star Leah Gibson in a series regular role. According to Variety, the actress will play Ingrid, who is described as "street-wise but who also has an education as a nurse."

The report speculates that the name Ingrid could be a codename for the Marvel Comics character Typhoid Mary. However, while a possibility, this has not yet been confirmed.

Gibson, who appeared in a minor role in Twilight: Eclipse, joins two-time Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Janet McTeer, who signed on to the series back in April in an undisclosed role. The actress has previously worked on television shows such as The CW's The 100, iZombie, The Returned and Caprica. She also appeared in Watchmen and Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Plot details about Jessica Jones Season 2 have been kept under wraps so far. However, with star Krysten Ritter set to be on hand at San Diego Comic-Con later this month, it's entirely possible that will soon change.
