With the gory Grindhouse and Predators behind him and Machete and possibly Deadpool ahead of him, director Robert Rodriguez still has time for the kids — and who can blame him, especially when Jessica Alba is involved?

Rodriguez is set to return to the Spy Kids franchise for his next film, rebooting the property under the moniker of Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World. Alba stars in the movie as a retired spy who finds herself thrust back into the game. The only difference is that this time, she's got some kids with her — she's the mother of a baby girl and has two preteen stepchildren.

The currently uncast stepchildren will serve as the titular Spy Kids, replacing the children played by Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara in the original trilogy. Both Vega and Sabara are now too old to take the reins on the franchise, with Vega nearly 23 years old and recently engaged.

Spy Kids 4 will film in Austin on a budget of less than $30 million, with shooting expected to begin next month.
