Following the launch of three digital-first series this past October, Double Take Comics has announced that they will launch ten all-new first issues of ten series this September 16. The new series all fall under the "Ultimate Night of the Living Dead" banner, an extension of the stories the company began telling via its Facebook page that are set in the world of George Romero's 1968 zombie classic film, "Night of the Living Dead."
The company, a division of game studio Take-Two, counts former Marvel Publisher Bill Jemas as its GM; Jemas also has had a hand in crafting the stories for a number of the ongoing series. All ten first issues will debut simultaneously on September 16, a decision that Jemas explained in the company's official announcement.
"Originally, we were thinking of trickling out a couple series of every month or so, building up our roster over time," said Jemas. "Now we're planning to launch our new universe in one big bang."
In addition to launching the "Ultimate Night of the Living Dead" universe, Double Take has started a Kickstarter campaign designed to get new readers in on the ground floor by offering a "Super Pack" collection of all ten debut issues. More information can be found at the Double Take Universe website. For a full rundown of the titles and creative teams, check out the official statement below.

In addition, today 2T also is launching a Kickstarter campaign in support of Ultimate Night of the Living Dead.
