Todd first appeared in 1983's Batman #357 as the Dark Knight's second Robin following Dick Grayson. The 1988 "A Death in the Family" storyline by Jim Starlin and Jim Aparo saw Todd captured and tortured by the Joker. The Clown Prince of Crime blew up the warehouse Todd was being kept in and the character was presumed dead; however, Todd was resurrected as Red Hood in the 2004 "Under the Hood" storyline. Initially posed as a violent foe, Red Hood goes on to become more of an antihero who often works with Batman but will also cross some lines Bruce Wayne will not. The character is currently starring in the Task Force Z series, which sees him lead a group of zombified villains from the DC Universe while under Two-Face/Harvey Dent's orders.

Worlds Without a Justice League – Green Lantern is part of DC's massive Dark Crisis event. Other fallen superheroes such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow and more will all get their own Worlds Without a Justice League... one-shot in the months to come.

Worlds Without a Justice League – Green Lantern goes on sale August 9 from DC.
