Before you get even more of Jason Momoa as the Atlantean superhero Aquaman in this year's "Justice League" feature film, you'll be able to see him play a much more earthbound character. In Netflix's upcoming historical drama "Frontier," Momoa stars as Declan Harp, a character described by the streaming service as "a part-Irish, part-native American outlaw campaigning to breach the fur trade." What that description fails to mention and the new trailer demonstrates is that he's also a one man wrecking crew.

The new trailer for the six-episode Netflix series features little in the way of Momoa speaking, but plenty in the way of Momoa being an intimidating badass. Everyone wants him dead, but no one really knows how to accomplish that task.

In 18th-century North America, ruthless trappers and entrepreneurs fight to wrest control of the fur trade from the mighty Hudson's Bay Company.

Originally announced in November 2015, season one of the new Netflix series will debut on January 20. The series also stars Landon Liboiron, Zoe Boyle, Christian McKay, Lyla Porter-Follows, Alun Armstrong and more.
