Jason Momoa couldn’t make it to the official “Justice League” wrap party two weeks ago in London, but he wasn’t about to miss out on a little celebration to mark the end of filming in Iceland.
The Aquaman actor photos on Friday of himself enjoying beers with co-star Ben Affleck and director Zack Snyder, presumably taken just before they depart for warmer climates. “Mad crazy love for Gal, Ezra, Ray, Henry and Ben,” Momoa wrote, referring to his fellow Justice Leaguers. “It’s been an honor.”
Accompanying a photo with Snyder, Momoa wrote, “This man changed my life. I love you, Zack. Mahalo for believing in me.”
These behind-the-scenes photos arrive just days after Warner Bros. released the first images of Amber Heard as Mera, queen of Atlantis. It was widely thought the Iceland shoot would involve Momoa, Heard and Willem Dafoe, but now it certainly appears Affleck was on location, too.
Spinning out of the events of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” the film follows Batman and Wonder Woman as they assemble a team of superheroes to face the threat posed by Steppenwolf and his legion of Parademons.
Opening Nov. 17, 2017, “Justice League” stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash and Ray Fisher as Cyborg, with Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Willem Dafoe as Vulko and Amber Heard as Mera.
