As DC Entertainment continues to staff its Burbank, California, headquarters, prolific writer Jamie S. Rich announced he's been hired by Vertigo as senior editor. He began work there Wednesday.

"Lots of exciting things in the works," he wrote on Twitter. "Stay tuned."

A former editor at Dark Horse and editor-in-chief at Oni Press, Rich is perhaps best known for It Girl and the Atomics, and his collaborations with artist Joëlle Jones: 12 Reasons Why I Love Her, You Have Killed Me and, currently, Lady Killer. He's also a novelist and music journalist.

News of Rich's hiring follows the announcement last week that Andy Khouri, former ComicsAlliance editor-in-chief and a CBR alum, has joined DC Comics as an editor in Brian Cunningham's office.
