Following last week's confirmation that franchise veterans Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), James McAvoy (Professor Xavier) and Nicholas Hoult (Beast) are set to return for X-Men: Dark Phoenix, McAvoy has posted a video to his Instagram account, teasing his shaven head for the upcoming Simon Kinberg-directed X-Men flick.

McAvoy wrote in the post, "He approaches. #charlesxavier #xmen #darkpheonix," which slowly reveals the presence of an electric razor. Take a look below.

“Again, I can’t really speak to anything specifically, but I think the challenge as offered by all the films we’ve mentioned is very — we’re very aware of the challenge that those movies pose and what it sort of demands of us as storytellers mining, again, one of the great comic runs in ‘The Dark Phoenix Saga,’” X-Men: Dark Phoenix producer Hutch Parker said earlier this year. “Our hope and expectation is to try and do something that feels different, that takes the audience into a different tone and a different sense of cinematic style that is appropriately suited to the story we’re telling.”

Opening Nov. 2, 2018, X-Men: Dark Phoenix stars James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Alexandra Ship as Storm, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler. Jessica Chastain is reportedly in talks to play the cosmic character (and film's villain) Lilandra.
