"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" director James Gunn recently confirmed that the fourth "Avengers" film does not have ‘Gauntlet’ in the title, leading some fans to wonder exactly how much info Gunn, or any of the other Marvel Studios directors, know about each others movies during production.

In a recent interview with The Independent, Gunn revealed that not only is he is keeping in regular contact with his cast and the directors of "Avengers Infinity War," he has reasons for doing so. However, he is quite understandably not willing to say exactly what those reasons are just yet, aside from wanting to make sure nothing happens in the Avengers epic that might disrupt his play for Vol. 3.

"I’m not totally letting go of the Guardians, I’m still hanging onto them a little as they go through [Infinity War]," Gunn said. "I am with the guys, I’m talking to the Russo Brothers, I’m talking to the cast, I’m dealing with all sorts of stuff so we can have the characters [remain true] to themselves and they end up where they need to be for 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.'"

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, “Avengers: Infinity War” boasts a sprawling ensemble cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L.
